Glass beads and aluminium facings shells

Glazing beads are used in window and door construction to secure the glass body to the frame. We produce special glazing bead saws for cutting glazing beads and adapt our two-head, double-mitre circular saws for cutting glazing beads and similar materials, such as aluminium facings shells, wooden frame beads, and similar bead materials.

Regardless of whether the respective glass (retaining) strip is made of plastic or aluminium material, or of wood, in order to saw it to the desired size it should be guided in special clamping elements and also clamped from above with these special clamping elements.

Only secure guidance and tensioning of the respective strips guarantees an excellent cutting result.

Our GLS200/116 glazing bead sawing machine is designed for cutting glazing beads at a 45° mitre angle. The 200 mm diameter base saw blades cut the glazing beads, while the optional 116 mm diameter attachment saw blades undercut the sealing body or sealing elements.

Since glass (retaining) beads, regardless of the material (aluminium, wood, or plastic), often need to be cut to length at a 90° angle, or at any other angle, by sawing, our two-head double mitre circular saws can also be adapted for the efficient cutting of any glass (retaining) beads.

This adaptation allows the user to use our two-head double mitre circular saws for both, normal profiles cutting and cutting glass (retaining) strips and, using the same principle, also for cutting aluminium facings shells.

Our guide and clamping elements can be quickly and easily installed into the saw tables, ensuring rapid changeover of the various guide and clamping elements. Our guide and clamping elements are typically designed so that two glass (retaining) beads can be guided and clamped simultaneously.

Of course, wooden glass (retaining) beads can also be cut to size with our two-head, double-mitre circular saws. For cutting wooden beads – profile beads, rebate beads, handle beads, ceiling beads, frame beads, and corner beads – our saws can be equipped with suitable extraction systems upon customer request.
